Sarah Whight

Head of KS 2/Year 6 Teacher

BSc (Hons) Psychology and Business Studies – University of Surrey, UK 

Sarah began her teaching career through the Graduate Teaching Programme in the UK. She then spent nine years as a class teacher at primary schools in England. 

One of Sarah’s many responsibilities while teaching in the UK was behavior and well-being of students in her school. 

Charlotte Newsholme


Ms. Charlotte has a Bachelor of Arts Professional Studies in Primary Education with ICT from University of Hull, UK. She has twelve years teaching experience as a Primary Teacher working in the United Kingdom and Spain. She is a passionate educator who fills the room with joy.  

Vagen Clifton​


Mr. Vagen comes from South Africa. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Years Education from University of Greenwich, UK and has been teaching in Malaysia for the last 3 years. 

Niamh Bannon


BEd Primary Education – Swinburne University, Australia 

Niamh joins Eaton after several years of working with students in Australia, Malaysia and Vietnam. 

As well as teaching the core subjects, Niamh is also a keen Irish dancer has taught students a number of routines. 

Emily West


BEd in Primary Education – Plymouth University, UK 

Having completed her degree in primary education at Plymouth University, Emily started her teaching career in London. There, she worked as a class teacher at an outstanding school and provided creative and inclusive lessons. 

While at Eaton, Emily is particularly keen to help students develop their critical thinking skills. 

Abigail Strain


PGCE – University of Nottingham, UK BSc (Hons) Human Biology – Leeds Metropolitan University, UK 

Abigail has been teaching internationally for more than a decade and is excited to now be in the vibrant country of Malaysia. Abigail previously worked at two international schools in Spain and followed a British curriculum. 

Fluent in Spanish, Abigail looks forward to teaching some phrases to students and colleagues at Eaton. 

Claire Wilkie


BSc in Primary Education and Special Education – Saint Francis University, USA 

After completing her university education in the USA, Claire began teaching in her home country of South Africa. After teacher there for several years, Claire moved to the UAE where she worked as a Year 4 teacher following the British curriculum at an international school in Dubai. 

When not teaching, Claire is an accomplished sportswoman and recently completed the Ironman Dubai 70.3 which involves a 1.9KM swim, 90KM bike ride and a 21.1KM run. 

Charlotte Moody


PGCE Primary Education – University of Manchester 
BA (Hons) Sociology – University of Hull 

Charlotte studied sociology at the University of Hull and following her degree, taught English in Spain and Italy. After helping Spanish students prepare for Cambridge exams, Charlotte moved back to the UK to begin teaching primary students there. 

Kieran Mathers


Mr. Kieran has a Bachelor of Economic and Social Studies in International Relations from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He has worked in an international school in Malaysia for the past two years and brings with him an expertise of journalism and technology. 

Emily Rees


BA (Hons) Primary Education – University of Winchester, UK 

Since qualifying as a teacher through the University of Winchester in 2015, Emily has taught at a well-regarded primary school in London. 

Having spent the last three years in London, Emily is looking forward to sharing her expertise with her new colleagues in Malaysia. 

Joseph Hirsh


BA (Hons) Primary Education – University of Winchester, UK 

Joseph joins Eaton as a Year 4 teacher after teaching for three years at an outstanding London primary school. 

Joseph has always had a keen interest in sports and, before becoming a teacher, was a cricket coach. Wherever possible Joseph combines his knowledge of education and sports to make learning active for students in his care. 

Charlotte West


BEd in Primary Education – University of Gloucestershire, UK 

Charlotte completed her teaching degree at the University of Gloucestershire with a specialism is primary education. 

Prior to Eaton, Charlotte took on the role of leading history at her previous school in Hertfordshire, England. She uses her knowledge of the curriculum to plan and lead whole school activities across a range of themes. 

Richard Holt


Mr. Richard has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management Studies from the University of Salford, UK. He is a qualified Primary Teacher with over ten years of teaching experience in UK schools. 

Chu Jia Yin

Mandarin Teacher

BA Linguistics and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language – Shanghai Jiao Tung University 

Jia Yin joins Eaton after teaching at another international school in Malaysia. Although her main focus is teacher Mandarin, Jia Yin also has also been involved in developing students understanding of STEM and computer science. 

Wong Pui Sin

Mandarin Teacher

Ms. Wong has a Master of Teaching (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from East China Normal University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is a certified and qualified Administrator of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) from Chinese Testing International. She has worked as a Mandarin Teacher for the past four years in international schools in Malaysia. 

Kwan Ping Ping

Mandarin Teacher

Ms. Kwan graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from East China Normal University. She has taught Mandarin in Indonesia and Malaysia. 

Nadia Binti Ismail

Art Teacher

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design – UITM 

Nadia joins Eaton after teaching for six years at an international school in Malaysia. 

With a love of all things artistic, Nadia can often be found decorating the school during festive seasons and designing props, backdrops and costumes for school musical productions. 

Evelyn Augustine

Music Teacher

Ms. Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Music Education from University Technology MARA. She has several years experience in teaching music in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary.
