School Day

Eaton school days are structured to provide routine and familiarity.  Depending on the key stage the structure of the day is tailored to provide a range of experiences and to ensure that the day best suits their learning styles.

In the Early Years the timings are as follows:

8:00am Teachers arrive and ensure that the early years spaces are ready to receive children
8:30am – 9:00am Teachers receive the children and welcome them into the classroom
9:00am Classes commence
2:50pm Classes end for all students
3:00pm Children are dismissed
3:00pm- 4:00pm Afterschool care and ECA are available to those wishing to remain in school

The children in the early years have 3 meals during the school day. These are at 9:45am, 12 noon and 2pm. They have access to both warm and cold filtered water throughout the day.  

The Primary school day follows a slightly different schedule to reflect their growth. 

8:00am Teachers arrive and ensure that they are prepared for the day
8:30am – 8:45am Teachers receive the children and welcome them into the classrooms
8:45am The day commences with guided reading sessions
9:00am Classes begin
3:10pm /3:20pm* Children are dismissed
3:20pm- 4:20pm Both paid (outsourced providers) and free (teacher led) ECA classes are offered.

*KS1 classes are dismissed at 3:10pm and KS2 classes are dismissed at 3:20pm. 

– Primary school has two breaks each day 10:00am -10:20am morning snack break and 12:20pm- 1:00pm lunch break.

The secondary school has periods of a longer duration to allow for more in-depth learning to take place. 

8:00am Teachers arrive and ensure that they are ready for the day
8:45am The day starts with Homeroom period where news is shared and stimulating activities take place. 
9am Classes begin for the day
4:10pm Classes end
4:10pm -5:10pm Both paid (outsourced providers) and free (teacher led) ECA classes are offered.


-The Secondary school has two  breaks each day 10:00am -10:20am morning snack break and 12:20pm- 1:00pm  lunch break.
